The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority provides a variety of recreational opportunities throughout the City of Timmins through its system of Conservation Areas and Community Trails.

2024

Reminder to all trail users that the following trails are not maintained throughout the winter months (between November 1 and April 30).

  • Bart Thomson Trail
  • Rotary Trail
  • Lions Walk Trail
  • Golden Springs Trail
  • Scout Rock Trail
  • Bridge to Bridge Trail

Hersey Lake Conservation Area and Gillies Lake Conservation Area trails will be winter groomed again this year once we have a snow base.

The Rotary Trail from Schumacher to South Porcupine will be closed effective immediately for Newmont to complete work on their property.

September 9
2024

There will be large equipment moving along the Rotary Trail as Newmont completes work on their property. Please use caution, reduce cycling speeds and be aware of your surroundings when using the trail throughout the week of September 9-13, 2024.
