PERMITS
Are you planning development work near a watershed, river, stream, wetland, slope, or shoreline?
You may require a permit from the Conservation Authority.

Winter trail reminders:
Other than at Gillies Lake and Hersey Lake, all recreation trails are NOT maintained between November 1 and April 30.
Gillies Lake CA washrooms are closed for the winter season.
Rotary Trail is not to be used by pedestrians and cyclists during the winter in order to protect the groomed ski trails.
Lions Walk Trail is part of the OFSC Snowmobile trails and is not to be used by pedestrians or cyclists during the winter months.

Bart Thomson Trail: Contractors are working to straighten the lights between Northern College and White Waterfront CA. Please use caution in the area, watch for workers and be mindful of any posted signage.

The MRCA staff will be working on the Hersey Lake outer loop trails and the Golden Springs Trail over the next few weeks to clear the remaining debris from the ice storm of November 2022. We ask for patience as we get through the 7 km of damaged area with our minimal staff. Please use caution and watch for workers when in those areas.
