January 4

Throughout the winter months, MRCA staff manually conduct snow surveys twice a month. Measurements are taken at two locations (Mountjoy and Porcupine) for snow depth and water content. For more information see our Snow Surveys page.

November 10

UPDATE: Work is complete on the Scout Rock Trail.
Effective November 10, 2021 the Scout Rock Trail between McLean Drive and Hwy 655 will be closed while the property owner completes work in the area.

September 27

The Bart Thomson Trail access point near the Whitney-Tisdale Pump Station is temporarily closed to facilitate City of Timmins work on the pump station.

September 20

The Watershed Conditions Statement for Water Safety for Porcupine Lake has been cancelled.
