It looks as though the snow is here to stay! Our Field Supervisor has started our winter grooming.

Throughout the winter, the MRCA will continue to pack the walking trail in the Gillies Lake Conservation Area as well as select trails at the Hersey Lake Conservation Area. For those familiar with the Hersey Lake trails, you may notice that we are grooming a different route this year. This is to offer a variety of trail surfaces to accommodate our requests for un-groomed snowshoe and ski trails. We hope this helps the public to continue to enjoy our Conservation Areas throughout the winter months.

Once again, we want to thank our generous community sponsors: Newmont Goldcorp, Caron Equipment, Miller Paving and the Wintergreen Fund for Conservation, for their contributions to our new side by side vehicle for property maintenance. Also, thanks to the students at Timmins High & Vocational School who completed the construction of a new snow groomer.
