2025
The Timmins Flood Advisory Committee has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement for Water Safety in all areas as the spring melt gets underway. The advisory can be seen on our Flood Advisories page.

The MRCA Board approved the Conservation Authorities Act required documents, including the Watershed-Based Resource Management Strategy and the Conservation Area Strategy at their January 7, 2025 Board Meeting. The strategies are publicly available on our Plans and Strategies page.

Throughout the winter months, MRCA staff manually conduct snow surveys twice a month. Snow depth from Porcupine and Mountjoy sample sites can be found on our Snow Surveys page.

Reminder to all trail users that the following trails are not maintained throughout the winter months (between November 1 and April 30).
- Bart Thomson Trail
- Rotary Trail
- Lions Walk Trail
- Golden Springs Trail
- Scout Rock Trail
- Bridge to Bridge Trail
Hersey Lake Conservation Area and Gillies Lake Conservation Area trails will be winter groomed again this year once we have a snow base.
